Originally dubbed "Old Blue" by its previous owner, this car has a lot of potential. Unlike its more popular counterparts, it is a 4 door sedan with a small engine. However, the option of stuffing a 409 under the hood down the road isn't out of the question.
I strolled by this beauty one afternoon when I pulled into a parking lot to turn around. By chance, I called the number and eventually snatched it up. The shifter has been relocated from the column to the floor and the shift pattern is reversed due to improper installation. The engine runs well and the brakes work, but it needs some tuning. Cosmetically, it leaves something to be desired.
Because it runs, I'll be making this one a "rolling restore", replacing or rebuilding one system at a time while driving it. The first thing will, obviously, be to replace the shifter and fix the linkage. Other than that, I'll see where it takes me.
