The Story - by Russ
I graduated from High School in 1967 and owning a car like this at that time was out of the question. Not only was it cost prohibitive, but it would have probably resulted in me getting into a lot of trouble. Now however, it is an absolute joy to own and drive.
I bought it from a friend. It was basically restored original with upgraded items such as power steering, power front disk brakes, and a stereo and satellite radio system hidden in the glove box. It needed some engine work and minor items such as door locks, mirror replacement, window gaskets, etc.
I upgraded the engine with a new Edelbrock intake manifold, Holley 4 barrel carburetor, MSD electronic ignition, chrome Edelbrock valve covers, triangular Edelbrock air cleaner with a K&N filter, new spark plugs, wires, electric choke, etc. After major tuning it now runs strong and dependable. Future upgrades will include headers and exhaust. It is a fun car to drive, show, and show-off.
